SGCI 2014: The Compound Gallery

San Francisco hosted printmakers from around the globe during the first ever West Coast SGCI 2014 conference. Among the many workshops and exhibitions spread throughout the city was Oakland based "The Compound Gallery," which hosted artist talks and demos that covered innovative woodblock laser cutting methods and CMYK processes. “It’s Alive” ran in the main gallery while demos changed throughout the day, presented by Richard Wohlfeiler, Jeanne Lorenz, and Bridget Henry. In the colorful crowd found within the lively studio spaces are a collective of artists including: Zach Clark, Crystal Morey, Masako Miyazaki and many more! Unique to the studio is “CompoundArtTv” which broadcasted many of its events live, as well as a talk about prints with Daniel Rolnik “The World's Most Adorable Art Critic” and Ryan McIntosh of Intellectual Property Prints! Check out the artist talk and much more at The Compound Gallery. The main gallery exhibition is up until May 4! (Tasty printed tortillas not included.)  Bookmark / Share / Print
