IFPDA Print Fair 2010

The IFPDA Print Fair is one of our favorite events of the year. Every November print dealers and print-lovers flock to New York for it, and with good reason. It’s one of the country’s biggest gatherings of fine print work; old Masters share the stage with YBAs and everything in between. Last year’s fair was red hot with tons of great work (see our post from the 2009 preview). This year, the fair’s twentieth anniversary, is set to be even better. Over eighty fine print dealers will be showing.

The Opening Night Preview is on Wednesday, November 3rd from 6:30-9 and the fair continues through until Sunday. On Saturday, November 6th from 11-3 there will be some panel discussions and -especially exciting- Andrew Raftery and Lothar Osterburg (two artists that will be in an upcoming Printeresting curatorial project) will lead walkabouts to highlight work that they find of particular interest!

We’ll have some coverage on Printeresting, but there’s nothing like seeing the real thing. If you can make it, it’s totally worth the trip. In addition to the IFPDA print fair, there’s tons of other print stuff going on, too. More NY Print Week info here.
