Excellent, right? This video is part of Andy McInnis’ Screen Printing: On the Cheap! Andy and a like-minded group of friends are working on developing a book of money-saving tips for the DIY printmaker. In his own words, “I have had the great privilege to meet just about every screen printer in Minneapolis while I worked at NW Graphic Supply.  It was there I could tap their brains on a daily basis and eventually I began to troubleshoot with many of them.” From this experience, Andy’s compiled a ton of strategies for screenprinting on the cheap. He’ll be setting up a Kickstarter page soon- we’ll let you know when that’s up and running. Maybe you’ll want to chip in to get this book to print…

Screen Printing: On the Cheap is a D.I.Y. book that intelligently talks about setting up a screen printing shop in your apartment on a modest budget. You do NOT need to rely on a facility to print gig posters, t-shirts, the logo on your boyfriend’s distortion pedal, or the tag on your Dad’s BVDs. You too have the ability to screen print. It can be done out of your apartment, basement or garage – with great results: On the Cheap!

Here’s a pic of the SPOTC crew doing a presentation at Minneapolis’ Give & Take (which is a post-worthy event in its own right).

You can stop by and talk to Andy at the Northwest Graphic Supply booth at this Fall’s MAPC conference, “Old World/New World” in Minneapolis .
