Fake Hole Graphics: Coming to a Street Near You.

Internet hoax or aggressive ad campaigns? I’ll leave that for you to decide, but these street graphics did brighten my day.. of course I wasn’t commuting to work in Mumbia.

The ad copy read, “It Feels Like Pioneer Suspension”, the idea being that as you calmly drove over these you would experience what it would be like if, a) it had been a real hole and b) you had been using a pioneer suspension, but probably most of us wouldn’t have stopped texting long enough to notice.

If that wasn’t enough here’s it’s predecessor a full road print-out as part of a Ford ad campaign.

In this case it was launched in Chile and they stuck to side streets and parking lots.

  1. I guess it’s all about the right perspective, more like those amazing sidewalk chalk drawings. So what did they print it on? Vinyl? A clever campaign, no doubt, but did it work?
