More Tax Day Printmaking

Worth noting… legendary country music letterpress Hatch Show Print used its trademark aesthetic to illustrate a story a few weeks back in The New York Times Magazine titled, “Hell Nay, We Won’t Pay!” I don’t necessarily agree with the sentiment (which depicts some views in the story) but it’s always good to see wooden type put to use.

Yay for Hatch Show Print! I just spent most of 2 days with their manager, Jim Sherraden – who is so incredibly proud of the shop he manages.

For what it’s worth, he mentioned today off-handedly that all those star-blocks were cut for Elvis Presley posters, back in the day.
