SGC Chicago: Open Portfolio sessions, What Cheer!
One of my favorite rituals of the SGC conferences has always been the open portfolio sessions: a room full of artists of all ages and skill levels, bearing their work to a community of peers.

Due to the overwhelming and frenetic nature of this event I’m only able to post a small handful of pictures of the many great examples of print on display. For the same reasons I don’t know the names of many of the artists whose work is posted here; if you see your work please let me know and I’ll add proper credits, or if you want it removed for any reason we can do that as well.

Thanks Megan, it was great to see your work in person.
Mine is the third from the bottom with the turkey hen on yellow
My work is the first photo (Shadow puppet cut outs are for a collaborative show with Sara Marie Miller, a first year grad students at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville). I’m a second year grad at the University of Tennessee.
4th one down (letterpress) is Brian Baker (Formerly of Yee Haw Industries).
8th one down (girl with the flowery blue dress) is Bethany Robertson, undergrad at University of Tennessee.
13th down (guy with the brown cardigan and fedora) is Daniel Maw, second year grad at University of Tennessee.
Thank you!
Aren’t those sneakers by Zach Shrey (second from last)?
Here’s a link to some video of him burning a gun-powdered stencil…

Thanks for all the help with attributing the work, especially Veronica, who seems to have her finger on the pulse of Knoxville printmaking.
